Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Vlogs is a video diary you share with up to 15 friends (your Roster). This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@getvlogs.app.
What we collect in the app
- Phone number — to sign you in with a one-time code, and so people who already have your number in their contacts can find you. We don’t show your number to other users.
- Name and profile photo — what other people see.
- What you post — video clips, captions, comments, Chats posts, and likes.
- Your connections — who is on your Roster and Bench, and requests you send and receive.
- Watched clips — which clips you’ve seen, so new clips show as new. Only you can see this.
- Contacts, only if you tap Sync contacts — the phone numbers in your address book are sent over an encrypted connection and checked against Vlogs accounts. We don’t save your contacts; we only log how many numbers were checked, to prevent abuse. Contact names never leave your phone.
What we collect on this website
If you join the waitlist, we save your name and phone number so we can text you when your spot is ready. We don’t use it for anything else, and you can reply STOP or email us to be removed.
Who can see what
- Your clips (including past days), comments, and Chats posts are visible only to you and the people on your Roster. If you remove someone, they can’t see them anymore.
- Comments and replies on a friend’s clip are visible to that friend’s Roster members who are also on yours.
- Your name, profile photo, and who is on your Roster can be seen by other signed-in Vlogs users, so people can find and add you.
- We don’t sell your data, show ads, or share it with advertisers.
Service providers
- Supabase — stores accounts, posts, and video files.
- Twilio — sends sign-in codes (and waitlist texts) to your phone number.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website.
- Apple — distributes the app; crash reports only if you’ve chosen to share them with developers.
They process data only to run Vlogs for us.
Security
Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Videos and photos are stored privately and can only be opened by people allowed to see them; these rules are enforced on our servers, not just in the app.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and posts until you ask us to delete them. Email support@getvlogs.app with the phone number you sign in with and we’ll delete your account, profile, clips, comments, and Chats posts within 30 days. Waitlist entries are deleted once you join the app or ask to be removed.
Your choices
- Ask us to delete your account or specific posts, get a copy of your data, or correct it, by emailing us.
- Remove someone from your Roster at any time.
- Turn off contact access any time in iPhone Settings → Vlogs.
- Report a person or post by emailing us; we review reports within 24 hours.
Children
Vlogs is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and let you know in the app.
